Title: Math Designer

The Math Designer is responsible for designing a personalized mathematics curriculum that consists of individually paced learning and technology integration resulting in the enrichment and acceleration of the learning process.

As a Math Designer, your role will reflect what you bring to this work and what you are passionate about creating. The details of this job consists of the following:

  • Research current math curriculum and practices
  • Partner with stakeholders to create a vision for personalized mathematics curriculum
  • Create and launch comprehensive personalized learning pilots in mathematics classes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess, develop and implement all aspects of the pilot
  • Build personalized mathematics curriculum that includes the creation of units of study and self-paced paths with a variety of instructional resources
  • Codify procedures, resources, and structures for 2018 pilot
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) and 5+ years of work experience in a role that required a deep curriculum focus on mathematics
  • Experience with math instruction and instructional/curriculum design
  • Sound understanding of 6th grade mathematics processes for teachers and scholars
  • Ability to integrate educational theory, research and expertise into appropriate pratices that result in positive change and continuous improvement
  • Ability to communicate and develop effective relationships and function effectively as a team member
  • Willingness to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of students, staff, families, schools and the district
